Structure Committee Report 09-2001

Welcome to the Structure Committee! The work of our committee helps maintain the unity of our Southern Minnesota Area, so that the hand of A.A. will be there in the future when the suffering alcoholic reaches out for help.

During our August meeting the Committee further reviewed three proposals from the Archives Committee concerning establishing a fund, an alternative rotation schedule, and the creation of an associate archivist position. The Structure Committee will refer additional development of these proposals to the Archives Committee.

Finally, the Committee discussed the manner in which Area business is currently processed through our committee system. A draft proposal will be discussed at our next meeting.

The Structure Committee has four group outreach visits planned for inactive Districts during August, September and October.

If your District is rotating in 2001, please provide the names of your incoming trusted servants to our Area Secretary, Allison. This will allow us to communicate and provide incoming members with the tools they need to serve effectively. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
