Grapevine Committee Report - December 2002

November 30th the Area Grapevine Committee met and discussed the 2 Grapevine “Stayin’ Alive” items that deal with trying to increase awareness of The Grapevine within the Fellowship and communicating awareness of subscription contributions as the sole means of self-support for The Grapevine.

How have subscriptions fared this year? More people are subscribing! November had 3,068 Minnesota subscriptions, up 184 from January. And worldwide we are now at 111, 246, up 3,576 from January. And while La Vina numbers in Minnesota are down--currently 27, down from 47 in January--worldwide subscriptions are at 8,419, up 811 from January.

The Area Grapevine Committee has staffed the display and sales table at the Hiawathaland Get Together in Austin, the Fall Assembly in Lakeville and Founders Day Weekend in Bloomington. We’ll see you at the Annual Service Conference in January--look for our new Chair, Chris L. I know he will do a great job of getting the word out about what a great recovery tool the Grapevine is.
