Correction- Area Assembly in Shakopee, not Lakeville. Missy’s printer messed up, so minutes by internet only.

Schedules sent to Ron in Sheildsville and will send to Faribault Alano with Duane or Vern.

Daily Reflections For Teens failed;
Teen Stories For Teens passed.
Proposal to bring to GSO that literature be approved and reviewed by all delegate prior to voting passed.
Dennis B nominated to stand for West Central Trustee.
Grapevine Board member needed- applications due in January.
Sale of Grapevine withdrawn from Hazleden website.
Information for hotels and registration for 2005 International will come out in June 2004.
March 5-7,2004 West Central Regional Service Conference in Wyoming.
Area 2004 calendars passed around.
Area high schools, (Northfield, Faribault, Shattuck, and Bethel), hospitals in both want Grapevines. Will send to counselors office at the high schools and emergency rooms.
Prison orientations representative will come to our January meeting with more info. 2 Wednesdays and 1 Tuesday a month need to be covered. We should help District 8 who is now trying to cover it all.

Numbers up. December 2nd speaker followed by a potluck. Family Focus went well as did Detox. Handed out District schedules to members with requests to pass them onto professionals. Will be at Service Conference.

Numbers were down but back up to 11. Still need to discuss holiday party and pick a speaker.

6-7 regulars. 1 person who slipped has returned and been welcomed back. Will have a speaker for holiday party. Thinking of having a monthly speaker meeting.

Group is going to ask Area for a quarterly report on the pink can plan. Requested a pro/con on the 7th tradition as it relates to travel expense. Bought 6 more big books for group use. Formal change regarding contributions from newcomers tabled. Will help schedule distribution. Family Recovery Night on January 9th at Emmaus Church.

Will get a speaker for holiday party. Yes, do the Grapevines in the schools and hospitals.

Exploring AA workshop for schools and treatment centers. When? February workshop for District 16.

Family Focus appreciates our contribution. Wednesday night’s is at 6:30 and Thursday’s is at 7:00. Needs December meetings on December 3 and 4. Serenity took the 3rd and Cornerstone will take the 4th.

Need volunteers for January Service Conference to greet. Need volunteers for Area PI committee: health fairs. E-mail pi@area36.org Julie K.

Doug M – Temporary sponsor program- many were released into Rochester but there were very few volunteers. Milt rounded up some volunteers so the list did grow. But the list for District 16 is still short. Doug will bring volunteer sheet to next meeting.
Ken H. – Does the inmate get the volunteer’s address?
Doug M. – the inmate gets whatever address the volunteer gives them.
Patty A. – she had 2 temporary sponsees. One picked a home group in Faribault and slipped after 1 ½ years and the other went to NA. Should only volunteer if you intend to answer the inmates letters.
Lynn – Stepsisters has a P.O. box their members can use.
Doug M. – You can get the inmates I.D number and find out what they are in for on the internet or trust the God of your understanding and do what I do and give them your home address.
Patty A. – There are AA members on the inside who have asked for a temporary sponsor on the outside.
Doug M. – The inmate asks for a sponsor, the prison contacts Christine and she gets a volunteer.
