Patty asked for a volunteer on Concept III for next meeting. Tom W. volunteered.

Report given and accepted. Missy passed around the mailing list and asked who wanted minutes by e-mail.

Area picked up hotel bill for Patty Jan. Service Conference. Next obligation District 16 will pick up bill.
Committee chairs should turn in some kind of mileage to treasurer whether they choose to be reimbursed or not for treas. Record.
Marlys was asked for Financial Policy copies.

Julie has sent word that she will not be able to fulfill her obligation due to work issues.GSR's need to take this back to their groups to see who is willing to stand for this position and let Patty know. If there is more than one person willing then we will have an election in April. Vern said he is willing to stand.

We were well represented at the service conference and committee mtgs. Patty gave us some highlights on the Service Conference. Saturday night speaker was Dick G. who serves as the Southwest Regional Trustee.

DCM sharing session had a lot of new DCM's. Talked about how to get GSR's Involved; to visit meetings in their District. Orientation of GSR's.

Afternoon meeting the DCM's , Committee chairs, and Area Officers talk About Area business(proposals and motions that go to Service floor.) Two proposals came out of the meetings: GSR's take back proposal Information and get your groups conscience.

Proposal 1: Web Committee- A meeting locator on Area site in conjunction with Group Records to tie in a group look-up. They are asking our opinion on wether to include a group contact with a number. Looking to do group records changes on Web in the future. Proposal is on locator only asking for advice on the rest. Web site is www.Area36.org. Suggestion to put this on our District Meeting schedule.

Proposal 2: Finance Committee- To add an earlier action of reimbursing the past two delegates for attending Committee Meetings as well as Area Assemblies to the Financial Policy. Not sure if they are reimbursed 50 dollars a piece or total of 50 dollars. The reason for having them there is for their knowledge. Be looking for the Pigeon. Patty will have a report on our District happenings. All Committee chairs and Officers are on the mailing list for the Pigeon. If anyone wants one who is not receiving one, call Samira and she will get you one at no cost.

Attendance good, made a pitch to take meetings to Annex. Women can attend male meetings as long as they are with a man and vise versa.

Attendance is good on Saturday, Thursday down due to cold. Interested in putting on meetings at Annex and Detox. She was directed to Corrections chair. Talk to Vision-4-U about pairing up.She will need to call Detox on her own that is not a District deal.

Still looking to talk to Sheriff about attendance at Annex Meetings.
Went to Committee meetings they discussed the Pink Can Plan. Area just took over this. Accountable thru Area Treasurer. Pink Can Plan is a separate can at meetings sent around for extra change to send Literature to Correctional Facilities.
Men and womens Annex have wanted meetings regulary.

Not much to report just settling into position. Third Tradition group asked about taking meetings to the Colleges in Nfld.

Committee meetings were an introductory thing. A misconception that chairs should push for subscriptions. They were always self supporting until most recently. Suggestions for sponsors should buy 1 yr. subscriptions for sponsees.

Will have order forms each month for groups. Committee mtgs. They spent their time on Agenda items for Service Conference.

Keeping Family Focus in meetings, March 5 & 6 are Next dates. Doug will bring an AAI pamphlet to next meeting for Family Focus. A couple in town are looking for a young people's meeting as a reference for clients.

District page is a part of the Area Web Page. Any GSR's coming to Committee Meetings, Dennis will be glad to sit down and show you how to get there.

No chair right now. Area chair will be coming down to Give a presentation on this. And at that time we can decide if we want a committee.

Group is alive and well, very interested in the District but very busy trying to get their group up and going.

The committee planned it for March 29, 2003. At the Faribault Alano. Menu is coffee and donuts. Two speakers chosen on "Carrying the Message", "Enhancing Sobriety" and " Reaching Out." Two speakers are Bob Reed- Department of Corrections in Stillwater and Bill B.-Temporary contact program. Discussion on whether to still support this because we were under the impression that they were going to bring back ideas first before making decisions. We realized we had given given them permission before. Agreed to go ahead and continue to support the workshop. They will let us know if they need help serving. Great unity builder between Districts.They understood they had $50 from each District but are willing to accept more. They will let us know if they want more.

Patty handed out background material and asked the people She gave it to make a small presentation on their item next meeting so that the GSR s have an opportunity to take back to their groups and get their conscience. Pick one or two topics that your group would like to discuss. The March meeting will be spent mainly on these Agenda Items.
