District 16 Meeting
June 20, 2002
Northfield, Minnesota
GSR Reports:
Vision 4 U
- The annual Vision 4 U Gratitude Picnic is scheduled for July
16th.
- The group will cover the Family Focus meeting on Thursday in
July. Our commitment for June did not occur because the Family
Focus counselors forgot about it. Should we call ahead to confirm
the meeting?
- We're taking the jail annex meeting rotation in July.
Third Tradition Group
- The group started a web site for use as a PI tool -
www.thirdtraditiongroup.org.
- We would like to see a regular rotation set up for the Family
Focus meetings, in place of the current month-by-month
scheduling.
- The group's 20th Anniversary celebration will be held the
evenings of August 9th at the group, and August 10th in the Archer
House basement conference room.
Step Sisters
- The group has good regular attendance at its two weekly
meetings: Saturday morning at 9:30 am and Thursday evening at
7:30 pm at the UCC Church.
- The group's meeting schedule is incorrectly listed on the
District 16 web page of the Area website. The Area webmaster
has been contacted but has not corrected it yet. We will contact
Jim Gurley.
Old Business
Unity Picnic - August 4th
- Vern is the only volunteer so far - he's volunteered to prepare
a flier to publicize the picnic. Missy P. is also willing to help
organize the picnic. The Wilderness Park shelter has been
reserved.
- The District has supplied drinks. Bring a dish to pass and meat
if you want to barbecue. Missy has volleyball net and ball. In the
past someone was responsible for placing a sign on the highway.
- The theme is Pass It On - Sponsor to Sponsee. Each group needs
to pick a sponsor/sponsee pair to speak at the picnic.
