July District 13 Highlights
- GSR Reports: GSR'S shared a variety of 12th step
work they provide in the district such as speaking at Unity
Outpatient, Anoka Regional Treatment Center, Riverplace, Lino
Lakes, and the Cronin Bldg.
- Remote Committee Chair: Would like to survey
groups to see if there is a need for sign language in Anoka
County.
- Treatment: Motion was made and approved to give a
case of 12 X 12'S to the Repeat Offenders Program in Anoka
County for Drunk Drivers. Treatment facilities is trying to
put together a list of facilities where groups speak and
determine if there is a need for more speakers at some of
these facilities. Next month we will send a slip around on
where groups have service commitments.
- Steering Committee: meeting is held at 7:30 on
Wednesdays, 2 weeks before the district meeting in Room 12 at
Fridley Alano.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The next general service workshop will be held at
Anoka Alano probably in late September or October.
- The district will form an outreach committee.
- We were requested to bring old Grapevines to the
district so can remove staples and sew for the prisons.
- Volunteers are needed for the State Fair Booth on
August 26th. Call Jack C, our DCM, if you can serve.
