Highlights from May District meeting:
- Minneapolis Intergroup is grateful for the financial support of
American Sign Language interpreters fur the Saturday Orientation
Meetings,expects to eventually fully fund this. Groups are encouraged to
send a Representative to Intergroup monthly meeting. Elections of Board
Members is coming up. Please submit resume if interested.
- Archives Committee has completed taping a history of Andover
Alano, seeks more contacts of people who may have experience involving
the formation and early days of groups in the District.
- Eric J.,Alternate Area Delegate, presented a new GSR Orientation.
- GSR Sharing: Discussion about AA's Singleness of Purpose,question
regarding support of Alano suite at Gopher State Roundup.
- Area Committee Meetings 0n May 17th were attended by 7 District
Officers and Committee members. The request that GSO offer the General
Service Conference Agenda Item background material via electronic format
(e-mail,web,etc.) made at the April District Meeting was taken to the
Structure Committee. More discussion of this is expected at the August
Structure Committee meeting.
- The 15th Annual Gratitude Night speaker meeting & potluck was held at
Olive Branch Lutheran Church on the evening of May 17th. Many friends
old & new were there.
District 13 upcoming events:
- Steering Committee meets at Fridley Alano on Wednesday May 21st at
7:30 pm. Among the items to discuss will be the PI Booth at the Anoka
County Fair and planning for future District Workshops.
- June District Meeting will be Delegate's Report on the 53rd General
Service Conference by Brenda L.Evcryone is encouraged to attend.
