Highlights from April District meeting:
- Minneapolis Intergroup liaison:Not able to attend,letter from
Office Manager requesting $50.00 per quarter for ASL interpreter
for Orientation meeting received.Motion to contributed passed
unanimously,beginning with 2nd quarter 2003.
- Discussion of organization of Rush City Correctional Facility
volunteers.
- Group Outreach sign-up list available for volunteers to visit
non-participating groups. An outline script of a 5 minute
presentation on General Service is available,volunteers are asked
to use this when making outreach visits.
- 3 of the 4 remaining General Conference Agenda committees'
topics were presented, no direct feedback was forthcoming on these
or the March topic presentations.GSR's are strongly encouraged to
attend the Area 36 Delegate's Workshop on Saturday,April 12th
(see area36.org events page).
- Motion to have DCM request that the Area consider requesting
that GSO make the General Service Conference Agenda items &
background material available on their website www.aa.org in
January of each year passed. Jack will make the request at the
Area Committee Meeting in May unless motion is rescinded at the
May District meeting.
District 13 upcoming events:
- Steering Committee-Fridley Alano Wednesday April 23rd 7:30 pm.
Finalize organization of April Workshop at Blaine Alano
- Workshop "How it Works" at Blaine Alano on Saturday April 26th
at 11:30 am.All are encouraged to attend.Bratwurst feed at break,
closing presentation by Dennis B., past Area 36 Delegate.
- District 13 Annual Gratitude Night celebration on Saturday May
17th beginning 6:00 pm.at Olive Branch Lutheran Church auditorium
on Northdale Blvd.
- Next District meeting May 7th at Coon Rapids City Hall.GSR
Orientation is scheduled.
