"Sponsorship - Remembering to Practice Our Principles"
This was a workshop breakout session where approximately fourteen delegates and trustees attended in designated rooms and shared their experience, strength and hope on the topics:
We had some great discussion in this smaller session. One of our Class A, non-alcoholic, trustees talked about the importance of sponsoring professionals to become Class A trustees. Members of A.A. took the time to sponsor her and explained The A.A. Service Manual. She asked us to keep in mind that having Class A trustees is not for those of us already here in A.A., but for those yet to come. Non-alcoholic trustees can speak for us in many areas and in many ways that we cannot as alcoholics . The professional community may hear what a Class A is sharing more so than an alcoholic. Many professionals don't always get to see the good side of alcoholism, they are busy treating the still suffering.
